The SJCAM C100+ (₹3,999) is the best action camera under ₹5000 in India — its Mini Vlogging Camera design, 4K30fps recording, Sony image sensor, and built-in image stabilisation deliver usable action footage at a price that makes GoPro's ₹30,000+ cost unjustifiable for casual use.

SJCAM C100+ — ₹3,999

Best under ₹4000. SJCAM's C100+ uses a 1/2.7" Sony sensor for better low-light performance than the cheap no-name sensors in many budget action cameras. 4K/30fps video, built-in 6-axis stabilisation reduces shake (not GoPro-class, but functional for bike mounting), and a 2" touchscreen LCD. Waterproof case included for water activities.

For Indian bike riders wanting a helmet or handlebar camera for YouTube vlogs, the C100+ delivers usable 4K footage at the minimum cost. Most accessories (mounts, cases) are compatible with GoPro form factor.

Akaso EK7000 Pro — ₹4,499

Best accessories bundle. Akaso includes more mounting accessories in the box than any competitor at this price — handlebar mount, helmet mount, chest harness, and multiple protective cases. 4K/25fps with EIS stabilisation. 170-degree wide angle. Good for buyers who want the full mounting kit without purchasing accessories separately.

What to Expect Under ₹5000

Image quality vs GoPro. Action cameras under ₹5000 produce footage that looks good on YouTube at 1080p and adequate at 4K. Side-by-side comparison with GoPro HERO13 (₹33,000) reveals the difference — but for solo content viewed on mobile screens, the budget camera is sufficient.

Stabilisation. Budget EIS (Electronic Image Stabilisation) reduces rolling shutter but doesn't match GoPro's HyperSmooth or DJI RockSteady. For bike-mounted shooting on Indian roads, expect some vibration shake in the footage. A handlebar dampening mount (₹300–500) reduces this significantly.

Accessories compatibility. SJCAM and Akaso cameras use the GoPro-compatible accessory mounting system — third-party mounts from Amazon work with these cameras, allowing access to India's large budget GoPro-accessory market.
